At our rabbitry, teddywidder baby bunnies are born in the house and are exposed to human touch and scent early on. As they grow and their eyes and ears open, they see household activity and hear every day sounds. At the same time, they develop a familiarity and trust of humans.
Once they are of the age to start coming out of their nest, they are slowly introduced to the outside; the sights, smells and tastes of nature. Our goal is that by the time they are ready to go to your home, they are not only well socialized but their adjustment to a new environment is smoother.
Our desire is for our babies to be loved and well cared for. To make that easier for you we practice desensitization. Our Bunnies get used to having their feet played with, resulting in easier nail trimming for you. Grooming with a brush and blower so that future grooming is easier. Introduction to an electric clipper sound and vibration is also introduced at around 5-6 weeks old.
